On January 5, one of the world’s largest technology events—CES®2023 (International Consumer Electronics Show) (hereinafter referred to as “CES”) was held in Las Vegas, USA. What did Caterpillar show at this exhibition? Let’s take a look!
“The Mine Warrior”
At the Caterpillar booth, a Cat® 777 unmanned mining truck was very eye-catching. The “body shape” of this 100-ton “big truck” is twice the “body shape” of the cars on the nearby booth. For nearly a decade, Cat unmanned mining trucks have been operating smoothly in extreme working conditions. Currently, more than 560 Cat driverless trucks are operating in 24 customer mines on three continents, and there has never been a downtime injury.
Automation black technology
Cat® Command
Through Cat Command technology, remote real-time operation of equipment can be realized. Two remote operation stations are connected to equipment hundreds of kilometers away, one operator station remotely operates Cat large dozers, and the other can remotely connect other types of equipment, such as Cat excavators.
Mining card AR experience
On-site visitors can stand in the cabin of Cat’s large mining trucks, participate in the AR interactive experience, and feel the positive impact of Cat technology on the mining and construction industries, such as the improvement of safe mining and operating efficiency.
In addition to Cat Command, Caterpillar also demonstrated construction and mining safety, fleet management technology, equipment health management, high-precision guidance technology and material tracking solutions at CES, as well as how to help customers achieve energy transformation through automation and electrification .
